Education & Outreach Librarian / Learning, Research, and Clinical Information Services Louis Calder Memorial Library / University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Miami, Florida
Kelsa Bartley, Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT 200 HR) and Education and Outreach Librarian at the Calder Medical Library at the University of Miami will lead a 30-45 minute yoga and breathwork practice from the comfort of a chair- NO YOGA MAT REQUIRED!
Explore breathing and gentle movement techniques to help you reduce stress, improve mobility and start your day centered and grounded. Together, we will move with intention and use our chair the way it was meant to be used — as a tool for rest.
Kelsa has been practicing yoga since 2007, after discovering its benefits for relieving stress, self-care, and wellness during a family health crisis. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 at the My Vinyasa Practice yoga studio in Austin, Texas. She hopes to use this training and her own experiences to bring the mental and physical attributes of yoga that have benefited her to people in her community and beyond.
No prior yoga experience or yoga mat is required to participate in this experience.
