Naa Lomoley A. Sahin (Nally) teaches Health Education at the middle school level in New Haven, CT. Nally has worked in New Haven since 2005. Nally is the lead health teacher and is in charge of updating the district's health curriculum and instructional framework with the help of the NHPS Health Cadre she formed. She received her Master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University and her Sixth-Year Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University.
Nally travels to six schools within the district, teaching over 750 students each year. She also coaches high school varsity sports in Volleyball and Basketball at Career Magnet and retired from coaching Track and Field in 2016. Nally’s professional goal is to become a leader in Health, Physical Education, and Athletics in addition to serving in an administrative role for a district.
Nally serves on many boards and committees. In addition to serving with the CT Health Cadre, Nally serves as Member-At-Large for the Eastern District of SHAPE America. Nally is also Vice-President Elect of Health of CTAHPERD and Vice-President Elect of Health with the Eastern Seaboard Region of the National Academy of Health and Physical Literacy. Nally is passionate about supporting the best teaching and coaching practices in Health, Physical Education, and Athletics.
