Joe Swanson, Jr., MSLS, AHIP, is the director of the M. Delmar Edward, M.D. Library of Morehouse School of Medicine. With over forty years of experience, he has served as the Acquisitions Librarian, Catalog Librarian, Systems Librarian, and Division Head for Computer Systems. Throughout his career, he has been active in the development of the print and online resources of the library and the implementation of several Integrated Library Systems. He has negotiated contracts and agreements with consortia, publishers, and other vendors.
