Librarian / Ph.D student
Kyoto Prefectural Library / Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Keio University, Japan
For 20 years I have worked in the library of a medical university in Kyoto, Japan. I taught doctors, nurses, and students how to use the library and search databases for systematic reviews. I also wrote a book on how to search PubMed in Japanese.
In my master's program, I did research on information literacy education for students. For related research, I received an encouragement award from the Japan Medical Library Association.
Five years ago, I moved to a public library. Currently, as a working graduate student, I am conducting research on the provision of consumer health information in public libraries.
