DeBran Tarver is an Evaluation Specialist at Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). At ORAU she is responsible for designing evaluation plans, collecting and analyzing data, creating data visualizations, and writing evaluation reports. She is also responsible for leasing the design and implementation of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods evaluation and research within public health.
DeBran has over 13 years of experience as an evaluator, project manager, and researcher. She has a vast amount of hands-on experience monitoring and evaluating non-profit, local and federal programs that have diverse groups of people and multidisciplinary teams. She also has experience implementing health education and promotion programs in HIV/AIDS treatment and cancer prevention and survivorship. As a result of her years of experience, she has become proficient in data analysis, survey and focus group development, technical assistance, and data collection and management.
DeBran earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University, a Master of Public Health from Morehouse School of Medicine, and a PhD in Health Education and Promotion from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
