Sandy De Groote, MLIS, MEd, AHIP, is a Professor & Head, Assessment and Scholalry Communications at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). She began her career at UIC as a health sciences librarian. In 2009 she became the Scholarly Communications Librarian. Her research has focused on the impact of online access on information use and the impact of library resources (journals, database, collections) on faculty productivity. Areas of responsibility and interest include open access, publishing, copyright, research impact and metrics, assessment, data management, digital scholarship, and evidence-based practice.
