Assessment Coordinator & Assistant Professor

Jung Mi Scoulas is an assistant professor and assessment coordinator at the University of Illinois Chicago Library. She holds a PhD in educational psychology and specializes in library assessment, research design, and student learning. Her research examines the impact of library experiences on students' academic success, and she has published nationally and internationally. Recently, her research team received a $250,000 grant by the Institute of Museum and Information Science to develop assessment tools to understand students' academic engagement. She is also the Research Scholar at the Association of Research Libraries Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Institute Task Force, providing experience in qualitative and quantitative research approaches linked to curriculum, evaluation, results, and impact.
