Kearin Reid, MLIS, AHIP is a medical librarian with the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in Northfield, IL. She supports guideline development projects, answers copyright questions, and performs literature research for a wide variety of research questions for staff and CAP committees. Prior to her employment as a medical librarian, Kearin was a medical technologist and her work in pathology provides a valuable background for her current role at the CAP. Kearin has expertise in performing systematic literature reviews, answering copyright questions, helping to guide the development of comprehensive research questions, developing instructional materials and tutorials, and providing webinar training for students and faculty. Kearin received her M.A. in Library and Information Science at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, and her B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science from Weber State University in Ogden, UT. Her research interests include evidence-based medicine (EBM) searching and the use of artificial intelligence in systematic literature reviews.
