Janene Batten, EdD, MLS, is the Research and Education Librarian for the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library at Yale University.
I currently work with nursing faculty, graduate and doctoral students, and clinical nurses in all areas of their research and clinical practice.
I have extensive experience providing first-class scientific consultation to 100+ world-class research teams, collaborating to grow their evidence-synthesis ideas to ensure rigor and excellence essential for publication. I deliver high quality techincal assistance including the best review type for the project goal, protocol development, rigorous methods in appraisal and risk of bias, and detailed documentation processes. I am an expert searcher who develops methodologically sound and defensible literature searches that meet standards essential for reporting guidelines. I have coauthored 20+ published systematic reviews, and published in a series of 7 articles in a national journal that inform about rigorous processes required for the systematic review methodology. I have peer-reviewed 60+ manuscripts as a sought out authority for evidence syntheses methodology.
