Tracy C. Shields, MSIS, AHIP, recently joined the National Institutes of Health Library as a Biomedical Librarian. She has over 15 years experience in conducting in-depth literature searches, instructing users in resources, and producing knowledge synthesis products such as systematic reviews in academic- and hospital-based settings. Her professional passion for searching is supported by her interest in controlled vocabularies such as MeSH. Tracy has also been a clinical librarian for pediatrics, psychiatry, cardiology, and diagnostic management teams, and served on institutional ethics committees.
