Anne Snieg

Library Technician - Serials, Diversity Council Chairperson

Anne L. Snieg, MLIS, Library Technician-Serials Manager. After earning my BA in Elem. Education, I dabbled in a few fields before returning to school to earn my MLIS. But before I could do that, I joined the US Army to learn, earn, and serve realizing through the whole process that I wanted to be a Librarian. After the Army, I worked as a solo school librarian while finishing my MLIS. Currently working at the Milwaukee VA Health Care System for the last 12 years has been a gift in experience, autonomy, and teamwork. As I have expanded my sphere of knowledge, I have also become the DIveristy Council Chairperson for our VA Hospital and have led our Diversity Fair for 10 years. In my spare time, I enjoy movies with my family, road trips, and volunteering in scouts. And I promote Inclusion and Equity as a means to Diversity and Access.
