Medical Librarian
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health
I joined Virginia Mason in 2003 as a Library Technician, a month or so after moving to Seattle from Salt Lake City, UT (I am originally from Cleveland, OH). I completed my Masters in Library and Information Sciences in 2008 and VM generously promoted me to Librarian. My professional interests include evidence-based research, critical appraisal, and clinical librarianship. I have a passion for working with residents, am VMPS (Virginia Mason Production System) for Leaders trained, and am the point person for our library database contracts. I have previously been the library liaison for VM’s work with the Bree Collaborative and the WA State Healthcare Authority and I love to provide information and reference assistance for all clinical, research, and educational needs. I am a senior member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals and hold a specialization certification in disaster information. I have supported Virginia Mason’s Command Center for over fifteen years and have trained at FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, cooking, reading, and watching all things true crime.
