Jenessa McElfresh, MLIS, AHIP (she/her) is a Senior Research & Learning Services Librarian, Systematic Review Service Coordinator, and Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). Prior to joining the UTHSC team in 2021, she was the Health Sciences Librarian at Clemson University and a hospital medical librarian for Kaiser Permanente Northern California. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Agnes Scott College and an MLIS from Kent State University, and she maintains Senior-level accreditation in the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP). Her research agenda explores the interpersonal experiences of academic and health-affiliated librarians through the lens of organizational psychology, including ongoing work exploring lateral violence and workplace dysfunction.
