Tamara currently serves as User Services Coordinator/Senior Research & Learning Services Librarian at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN where she also liaises with the College of Medicine and manages the information service desk. She earned both a Bachelor's and Master of Library & Information Science degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi and also holds an Education Specialist degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama.

Tamara has been an information professional for over a decade and is a distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP).
She is an active member of the Medical Library Association where she serves on the Education Steering Committee and Editorial Board of JMLA.

Her research interest includes library instruction, information literacy, mentorship; diversity, equity, and inclusion.
